To all of my family and friends in Florida -- if you are watching the weather channel, you know we are socked in. It started snowing pretty heavy around 8:00, and we listened to people trying to make it up our hill. It has been snowing on and off all night. The snow pinging against my window is what woke me up this morning. Since we have been having such cold nights, we have had Daisy in the house every night. She seems to be happy to be inside, and sleeps on the rug by the door without a peep all night. This morning she wanted to go out and play in the snow. It's going to be a mess when she wants to come back in! The plow tractor showed up around 8:30 and started working on our street. After he was finished we walked out to the road and realized there was a layer of ice under there that the plow could do nothing about. Unfortunately both Karol and Andy had to go to work today -- definitely a job for the CRVs. We had to shovel the end of the driveway, and they've both made it to work safely. Both their stores are talking about closing early today due to the storm. Many stores and businesses are closed, and churches have canceled all activities for the weekend. Here is the view up and down our road. As I write this, the snow is still coming down. We have plenty of wood for the wood stove, and propane and generator in the motorhome if we loose power. But so far, no sign of that. I think it's time to put a pot of chili on the stove.
