Holly is having a nice breakfast of cheerios. These she can feed herself. She fed me one for the first time today. It was the best cheerio I ever had.
Also a little bath time.
Bathing in the sink after eating provides you with an opportunity to do the dishes.
Then we have a bottle,
And take a nap in Papa's arms.
After our nap we go for a ride in the truck and have another bottle.
We stopped at Lowes to get nuts and bolts for the new pony cart.
And later we are back on the farm playing with our own car.
We finish off the day with a good dinner of sweet potatoes and apple sauce.
At the end of the day, her Daddy picks up Holly and they both head home.

Holly Sweeps it Up!
I took one of the lengths of the handle out, and Now Holly has a sweeper that is just her size. She looks like she's having fun.
Beautiful Lamps!
Now that the kids are working through getting their stuff moved to their new place, I'm able to do some redecorating. I'm still Earth-friendly though, instead of buying new, I re-use reduce, recycle where possible. For example, my lovely new stained glass lamps were acquired through a friend, and I was happy to give them a home since they are perfect size, color, and style, for our little cabin. Thanks Lori and Steve for letting me shop in your 'store'!

Knitting
While on vacation I decided to pick up knitting again. Have not knitted since I was a child. I got a kit that came with needles, other tools, and most importantly a how to booklet. My first project is underway. (the cool tote was a garage sale find.

ATV all the way
This last Monday, Steve and I hit the trails to do a little ATVing on his bikes. We did the whole trail of 26 miles, and then returned, so we did 52 miles. At first it was a little scary, but once I got used to it, It was a lot of fun. Some of the trail was pretty rough with a lot of quick hills going up and down so it felt like you were riding a bucking bronco. Most of the ride I let Steve go ahead and leave a good distance so that the dust could settle.
It was another great day, and it brought back memories of our days in Spain riding on motorcycles over the rough roads and back trails.

Monday, Monday....
Such a nice day here in Menominee. We slept in again, till almost 9:00! Got up and had a nice breakfast. John and Steve headed off to go four wheeling and Lori and I headed out to do a little shopping. I got some fruit for the motorhomes and stocked up on Johns favorite blueberry granola. We stopped by to visit Nikki in her cute little office at school. We made plans to meet her for lunch at the Rail house where we had a fantastic salad and some of the best beer cheese soup I have ever had. Then on to finish errands and head for home to meet up with the guys. Then back to the rail house for pizza and calzones.
Such a nice day!

Who is Salt
Sleeper cells, assassination plots, and hand to hand combat. A high octane thriller sure to make you think. Two thumbs up!
Car Show in Menominee
Got a chance to go see some awesome cars in Menominee. Lots of Corvettes, Camaros, Chevelles, even saw an AMC spirit. Here are a couple of pictures
What I did on my summer vacation
Yesterday I rode a jet ski. It was fun. Steve drove Lori and I over to the boat launch and dropped us in the water. After winding our way out onto the main river we found it was calm and not too many people out. Steve and John came out and met us with the boat and we took turns on the jet skis.
When we got back to the house we cooked up the fresh whitefish we bought and corn on the cob from Ohio Lori made a yummy fruit salad and we had a feast.

Green Bay, Wisconsin
We sure packed a lot into the day today. Car show, jetskiing, and then to top it all off - musical theater in Green Bay. Terrific show packed with music and comedy, a great time was had by all!

Macinac Island Architecture
Some of the prettiest homes I've ever seen. Also the site of the Grand Hotel, where "Somewhere in Time" was filmed. The Grand Hotel has the longest porch the world.
