Chicken Coop Progress

We are making progress. We have the outside yard complete, so they can take their dustbaths. Mr Rooster is strutting his stuff.

New Home For The Chickens

Our big project is coming along nicely. We have a roof on and two walls up. One more partial wall and a door and we will be able to put up chicken wire!

inside John is getting ready to hang the other nesting boxes.

I don't think this one is going to lay too many eggs.

Alpine Nursemaid

Little Shy Boy is the smallest of the babies. We always try to make sure he gets an extra meal here and there milking Hollyhock and bottle-feeding him her milk. A couple of days ago I let him into the milk parlor with me intending to do that. He got up on my lap and noticed an opportunity.

Hollyhock was busy eating and did not seem to notice at all

I am a pack rat

I realized this when I opened a box in the basement and found baby clothes. It's really not as bad as it sounds. There was a pair of powder blue overalls that Andy wore. A navy blue sweater that was Tims. A favorite sweatshirt with planets and rocketships on it. Footed sleepers I remember choosing these items and packing them away for grandchildren to wear.

Pool Deck is down

Busy today!

Hay Feeder

A couple of days ago we set up a hay feeder for horses and they love it. It means we can use round bales which are more economical.

Goodbye Pool - Hello Fire Ring

It was time to take Down the pool so now we have a fire ring. S'mores anyone?

Pony Shoes!

For pony feet. For pony feet. Sadie wears shoes when we've used her a lot to keep the wear down and give her a break.
