Ditch for office networking and electricity

How nice and easy digging this ditch was, in a day, Papa had the whole ditch done and ready.  Much easier than working a shovel.

Cook, cook, cook!

Roofing work continues

Lots of the roof is done.

But there is lots of detail work left to be done.

From the side it almost looks done.

Annie crossed the Rainbow Bridge today.  She was in a lot of pain, and we decided it was time.

This day did not go as planned....

First, got up this morning to find that Sadie went down sometime during the night.  Went out right away and started hooking her up to the hoist.

John and Andy and I got her up

None the worse for wear. I suspect she was trying to remove her splint, and lost her balance.

Once she was up she sucked down half a bucket of water, and ate her morning grain.  We took the splint off to let it get some air.  I gave her some pro ios to combat bloat and get her munching on hay.

Checked the wound later and it is closing up, so we will let it air for 24 hours. May put the splint back on and try to leave the wound exposed tomorrow.

Then it rained most of the day so they could not start the roof, maybe tomorrow, no more rain is expected.

We had little guy all afternoon, he took a nap with Papa, and then we had hamburgers, baked beans, and applesauce for dinner.

Then off to do chores!

This is Papa's farm buddy.

Our Roof is HERE!!

The materials anyway.  They will start the job tomorrow.  Rain, rain go away!

Worn Out!

We are three weeks in now on giving Annie medication. Antibiotics, Tramadol, mobic, not fun!  She does seem to be better.  Today we took her to a different vet, just for a second opinion.  He had us change some things up.  She still has a fever, so different antibiotics. He refilled the Tramadol, and wants us to spread out the doses. Still giving the mobic.  He also had us add glucosamine chrondroitin, and fish oil.  Also suggested a food with those things, so I found a dry food with naturally sourced GC and fish oil in it.  Got some cans of wet food to hid all the pills. Gave her a first dose of everything when we got home and now she's sleeping it off in the shade.
