The blue, green, yellow one is for Michael, and the pink, purple, orange one is for Holly. These are made with soft and squishy blanket yarn. They are roughly the size of a twin bed, so perfect cuddly size for snuggling up with a book on a cold day.
We are finally back from our three weeks in Florida. I could tell by refilling my vitamin container that we were four weeks in the motor home. We spent the weekdays in Sarasota, and the weekends parked in my parents driveway. We played Mexican Train, worked on fences, did some shopping. I also got to bring some treasures home. Say hello to the coffee and tea station.
And to the bread making station.
These stainless steel canisters sat on the counter when I was growing up. I'm thrilled to have them in my kitchen now.
We also brought home dog beds, and so far Daisy is really a fan.
John put a heated blanket inside the mattress and she is so comfortable now. Sometimes when she comes back on the porch there are a couple of cats on it, and she'll just stand there and look at them. It's like she can't kick them off and is trying to get them to move by glaring at them. As soon as I free up real estate on the dog bed she is on it. I think that between that and the glucosamine she is feeling better. She's likely close to 10 or 11 years old and has always been an outside dog.
We spent most of the holiday working on the big barn. Tim worked at installing the shelves.
We also took a load to the dump, and reorganized everything in the barn. The goal is to get the Motorhome back under cover sometime this week.
The boat is suspended from the rafters, no fiberglass can be done during the colder weather.
It's has been beastlyhot here for the last couple of weeks. In the 90's every day. We wanted to be able to get wet, and tried to put up the inflatable ring pool, but it had a leak, the air lasted only a few hours. Karol and Andy still had their pool from last year, so we pulled it out and set it up. It went up quick, and filled up in about three hours our old filter connected fine, and a couple of chlorine tablets and we are good to go. They even have the pool cover so we can cover it if we get a bad storm.
So today we are having a pool party. Papa is mowing, and then he'll head over for a bucket of KFC.
